What Role Does Your Nervous System Play in Your Health?

What is the Nervous System?

Your nervous system is comprised of you brain, spinal cord and all the other nerves in your body. Your nervous systems job is to provide a pathway for messages to get from your brain to all the organs, cells, and tissues of your body in order for those different areas of your body to function correctly and for your body to maintain optimal health.

How does your Nervous system play a role in your health?

Your nervous system is what allows your body to adapt to your environment and what sends the information for your body to heal and repair. Your nervous system also communicates with your immune system and all systems of the body. It is what keeps the brain and the rest of the body connected. When the body has subluxation present it interferes with the nervous systems communication with the rest of the body which creates dysfunction in the body and eventually leads to the body getting sick.

What should you do to be healthy?

There are several things that you can do to be healthy, such as good clean eating. Good clean eating simply means that you try to eat foods that are not processed, and are close to natural as possible. Exercise is another component of health which is also very important. The most important though is to make sure that you have a properly functioning nervous system that is communicating with the body correctly. At Orion Family Spinal Center that is what we do, we measure and access how your body is communicating with the brain and remove any areas where there is SUBLUXATION present. Subluxation is an interference that is caused by two or more bones that are misaligned in such a way that they are causing an interference in the system. We remove those interferences specifically and gently and allow your body to heal and repair the way it was designed to.
